Tonight I played in a mini softball tournament and while the results for my team were less than stellar we all had fun and I grabbed a few photos to share with everyone. Enjoy!

Heather + Bob: eSession

This past Tuesday, on a sweltering summer evening, Melanie and I had the pleasure of meeting up with Heather and Bob for their eSession in downtown Austin. You might remember them from their family photos that we did a few weeks ago. Despite the heat we hit a few great locations downtown and captured some awesome photos of them. In less than 2 months they will be getting married in Prague! It’s totally going to rock… too bad I won’t be going with them On to the photos!

This was a new find… and I totally LOVE it!

These photos were taken with my iPhone in our driveway… before we left for the session and when we got home. I told you it was hot!

Brian + Jeni: eSession

Yesterday morning Melanie and I met up with Brian and Jeni for their engagement session and we had a great time with them. We decided to shoot early in the morning to avoid the heat and knocked out the session in short order and had plenty of time to run to Rudy’s for breakfast tacos . We had to change up our original plans of shooting downtown since the ROT Rally was in town the night before, but we still made some great photos. Mother nature even obliged by burning off the early morning clouds so we could have some brilliant sunshine. I am so jazzed to be shooting their wedding at the Lakeway Resort next month. Anyway, enough with the words. Enjoy the photos.

Amy + Parker: the engagements

This past Friday Melanie and I had the pleasure of hanging out with Amy and Parker and shooting their engagement photos while they were in town for a friend’s wedding. They are living in Oklahoma City so being able to take advantage of them already being in town was important and, though I was worried that the weather wouldn’t cooperate, we had excellent weather (if a bit chilly) and managed to knock out our session in just over an hour. We shot at the Arboretum early in the morning and got some rocking photos! I’m definitely going to have to shoot there more often. Amy and Parker were a blast to hang out with… very accommodating to my requests and at ease in front of the camera. I’m definitely looking forward to their August wedding. Enjoy the preview guys. Look for a slideshow sometime in the near future when I get all of the photos processed.

Melanie + Les: the engagements

So here it is 2:20am and I’m blogging… with good reason. Laura and I had the pleasure of shooting Melanie and Les’ engagement session ~~today~~ yesterday in Weimar, Texas and I wanted to get these posted. After traveling nearly 6 hours today (1 hour to Laura’s, 2 hours to Weimar, 2 hours back to Laura’s, and 1 hour back home) I got home around midnight and needed to wind down. What better way to do that than go through this fantastic couples’ photos and pretty up a few for the blog. They are a very outdoorsy couple (think hunting and fishing rather than running or hiking) and I think we did a great job capturing their personalities, relationship, and lifestyle. Enjoy the photos.

Meet Pepsi… he was full of energy from the moment we arrived until almost the end of the session (see below for why I say almost)

Melanie and Les have great chemistry and were laughing and having fun during the entire session.

Even though they were laughing for most of the session they were still able to “get serious” when asked.

Jen + Lewis: the engagements

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of having an engagement session with Jen and Lewis. We had planned a downtown session and boy did we get lucky with the weather. The forecast was calling for rain most of the day, but right around 6pm everything dried up and we had fantastic weather to wander around town. I’m looking forward to shooting Jen’s bridals in a few weeks and then their 5/17 wedding out at the Lakeway Resort and Spa. Enjoy the sneak peek.

Kendra + Jeremy: the engagement

Yesterday Melanie and I had a blast of a session with Kendra and Jeremy. We wandered all around downtown Austin shooting at the Capitol, UT, Congress Ave, The Hideout, The Bob Bullock Museum, Austin Energy, a random swingset, and the Palmer Event Center. They were such great sports and we all had a great time. I have so many great shots that it was hard to choose which ones to post to the blog. I may sneak a few more into future posts, but for now enjoy these. We’re so looking forward to their wedding next month.
