If you stop and think about WHAT you spend your money on for other people, especially adults who probably already BUY the things they need and want, it just seems like the exchanging of MONEY with each other....it's all rather ridiculous. This year we took a weekend trip as a family the weekend prior to Christmas which really made us STOP, spend time together and enjoy the best gift of all - each other! And the extended family - well they weren't really ready to give up the gift thing all together, but we did a 'secret santa' thing so that we only bought for ONE other person rather than the whole lot - and it was GREAT! Added a fun element of surprise for everybody and ended up being one of the best Christmas' we've ever had! Hope PA was great and you got to visit with everybody! Wish we could have squeezed in a visit, but I TOTALLY understand....my sister does that whole crazy visiting thing over 4-5 days every time she comes home! =) Hope you got a little rest! hugs and happy holidays!
