Continuing the tradition started last week welcome to another miscellaneous Monday…
Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox for winning the World Series. My friend Michelle (who lives in Boston) had her broom out last night in celebration of the sweep of the Rocks (yeah, she texted me right after the end of the game to tell me that). It was an entertaining series and I confess that I love the playoffs… any playoffs (the sport doesn’t matter). Speaking of which, when will the powers that be figure out that the best way to crown a college football champ is to have a playoff?

I’ve got 2 client orders to process tonight and I’m finding nearly any excuse I can to procrastinate (like blogging). If you’re reading this and you are one of those 2 clients I swear I’m going to get the orders sent to the lab tonight

My favorite song of the moment: Such Great Heights by The Postal Service. Melanie has been on a hunt for good music lately… music to chill to, music to work to, and music to put in slideshows. She downloaded a whole bunch about a week ago and I’m hooked on this song.

Anybody else have a crazy dog? Our dog makes the strangest noises sometimes. Tonight she was scooting around the living room on her back snorting. See, I told you… cra-zee.

I’m still on the fence about attending the next Anti-Workshop. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the previous two and I could really use a jolt in my creativity. It’s not the money that’s holding me back either… it’s the intimidation being around all of the other photographers. I know it’s all in my head. Somebody leave me a comment and convince me to just do it.

Today I learned that one of the old Victorian houses on 8th and Guadalupe was the first residence in Austin to have indoor plumbing.

I upgraded to Mac OS X Leopard over the weekend. For the most part things have been going well (both the Mac Pro and MacBook got the upgrade), but there are a few strange things happening. When I got home today the MacBook was shut, but the fan was running high speed. I flipped it open only to find that the OS was locked up so I forced a shut down and let it sit. The Mac Pro completely ran out of memory Saturday night (and I mean completely… 16mb available out of 3gb installed). All I could do was reboot. The pros definitely outweigh these few cons… cover flow in the Finder rocks and quick view is a huge time saver.
Until next time.
