Today I met with Rayna and Michael to talk about their October, 6th wedding and I’m happy to announce that they booked with me . We’ll be doing either a bridal shoot or an E-Session between now and then so be on the lookout for some photos. I’m totally looking forward to hanging out with them and shooting their photos. We really hit it off and they are easy going and a lot of fun. They’ll be getting married at the fabulous Lakeway Resort and Spa surrounded by a group of their closest friends and family. It will be a day to remember. I’m really looking forward to it.

I love slideshows and luckily so do my clients. Susie asked me if I could put a slideshow together of the photos from her maternity shoot and there’s no way I could, or would, say no .

Talk about a fun afternoon. I was invited over to Susie and Broc’s beautiful home for a maternity and family photo session. Susie is pregnant with TWINS… little girls who will be named Cadence and Jolie… who could be born any day now. Susie was a real trooper throughout the session and was all smiles the entire time (Broc did well too). We were joined by their 1 year old daughter, Ashton, who has an amazing smile and loves to laugh along with mommy and daddy. Thanks guys for the opportunity to photography your family. Here’s a sample of the fun we had.

An interesting trend is brewing in the wedding photography industry. Traditionally, after the wedding is over, brides have their dresses cleaned and then boxed up for preservation… some do it for themselves, some do it for the daughter they hope to one day hand the dress down to, others do it because they don’t know what else to do with it. But recently there have been a small group of brides who don their dresses one last time for the sole purpose of making some memorable and magical photos… all the while trashing their dress. I love the idea, but I don’t know how many of my clients would go for it.

Our vacation was awesome! All told we flew more than 8,000 miles, drove more than 5,000 miles, visited 11 states, saw 8 national parks, and hiked through 1 zoo. It was our most memorable trip ever and we have tons of photos so we’ll never forget the places we saw.
